Research Interests: comparative cognition, prosocial behavior, decision-making, evolution of cognitive abilities
I am a PhD student working with Dr. Sarah Brosnan in the Cognitive Sciences program at Georgia State University. I am interested in studying the behavior and cognition of primates and other species to understand animal minds and the evolution of human cognitive abilities.
Before coming to GSU, I received my bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology at St. Lawrence University, where I worked with Dr. Erika Barthelmess on understanding stress in porcupines, and Dr. Adam Fox on reducing pawing behavior in horses. After graduating, I worked as a Research Assistant in Dr. Bence Ölveczky’s lab at Harvard University, advancing deep learning techniques for quantifying animal behavior with rats. Additionally, I worked in Dr. Irene Pepperberg’s lab, investigating the cognitive abilities of parrots.
